![]() The career that i want to pursue in the future is to become a psychologist. this career choice is very interesting to me because it teaches me why people do the things that they do. I love to help people and figure out ways to fix things. this career choice is not only a benefit for me but for hundreds of people as well. ![]() One thing that I can reflect on from reading 10 Things I Wish I Would Have Known Before I Went Into the Real World by Chris Widener is You need to tend to your spiritual, emotional, and physical health or you will crash hard. This statement is very important on how to live your life the way you want it. You may want to help others and there is nothing wrong with that, but when the time comes you need to take time off to yourself to get your thoughts together and take care of yourself. You need to have some type of religion in your life. You must be emotionally stable when hard times come or else you will not make it through the day. You need to have a good physical health so that you could live longer and do the things you want to do. All these things apply to everyday life and you must succeed them all. Push your limits and do what you want to do as long as you’re happy. I can relate to this because these are the rules to happiness. As long as you have these 3 things in your life there no doubt that you won’t be happy. This relates to me because a while back my emotional stability wasn’t the best. I was severely depressed and it almost ruined my life. I started to go to church and think better of myself. Telling myself not to give up at it will get better. Eventually it did and I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulder. 2 words that connect to this is Bliss and vainglory. Bliss: supreme happiness; utter joy or contentment: wedded bliss. Vainglory: excessive elation or pride over one's own achievements, abilities, etc.; boastful vanity. ![]() I think John Tapene’s words are very inspirational. What he said is very fair and completely true. I believe teenagers now are very irresponsible and what john said is kind of a wake-up call to all of the teenagers. I think he was trying to say that they are not children anymore and need to take more responsibility for themselves because everyone is not going to always be there for them when they have a cut or a scratch. They need to grow up and face the world. |
