Michigan is ranked 10.6 in unemployment rate. my career search experience was very complex including their is so many engineer that pay well and have to do a lot with mathematics. locating the job was even harder because their was a specific place were i wanted to work near and their wasn't really anywhere that i could pursue my career near that location.

when i Googled my name i found some of my stuff such as youtube post and instagram posts, but nothing else. if someone saw this they would think that i don't really do anything but go on youtube even though its true i don't want them to know that. they would think that i don't do anything productive with my time and would not hire me. if i were a parent i would not friend my child on Facebook. i would just check up on my him/her every once in awhile. i would trust my kid not to post anything that would effect his/her future, but if they did i would have their Facebook/social media profile deleted immediately. inappropriate behavior is not allowed on their profile and i f i ever see some there would be consequences. other than that i would not befriend my child on Facebook. i don't even think i want my child to have a Facebook till he/she is 13. if i had 20% of school time to work on a project to enhance my life i would go to Chicago and Detroit and take tons of photos of urban life in the city. i would take all the photos and make a collage of the beauty of the urban parts of the city. i love photography and its a very fun pastime. i would love to work on a project just to see how people live in different parts of the states. The article I just read titled “Should it be illegal for employers to check job applicants' Facebook profiles?” written by Kashmir Hill was about if employers should check other employees’ social media profiles. I think that they should check employees’ social media profiles. I think that social media profiles should be checked firstly because of safety reasons. I think so second because of business benefits. I think that employers should check employees’ social media profiles for safety reasons. The employers do not know about their employee’s background and I think that they should because you could never know if one of them was a murderer or something that put danger to others lives. I think that employees should be more cautious of who they hire also for business benefits. Some people have excellent background and can achieve more then what the employers put them for. If employees did more background checks than more business’ could be more successful than what they are now. I could relate to this sort of because when I have group projects I have to be cautious of who I chose. I couldn’t just choose someone because they were my friend; I had to choose someone based on how they worked in groups and how smart they were. One word that relates to this article is caution which means care taken to avoid danger or mistakes. Another word that relates to this article is success which means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. A job that connects with my career is a nuclear engineer. this job connects with being a Mathematician and is still in career field that I want to work in. being nuclear engineer is not that interesting to me and it sounds very dangerous but I feel the experience would be nice and the pay is the same as a mathematician. I feel that I could learn a lot from working as Nuclear Engineer. Even though being a nuclear engineer isn't on the top of my list I would still be fun to experience. |
